BETSY A. HINSON

RESPONSIBILITY ON THE TEAM
Betsy serves as the Director of Operations to The Furman Co., Insurance Agency, LLC. She is responsible for the overall operations of the full service insurance agency as well as specializing in small business accounts.
CAREER SUMMARY
Betsy joined The Furman Co., Insurance Agency, LLC in 2008. Prior to this she worked within the insurance industry for 13 years with State Farm and Farm Bureau. Betsy’s specialties include both personal and commercial lines of property and casualty insurance, as well as life insurance. She has developed and instructed continuing education courses for licensed insurance agents. Betsy currently holds a South Carolina Adjusters License. She also holds the South Carolina Property, Casualty and Life, as well as Health Insurance Licenses.
EDUCATION
Betsy received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. Her major included Finance and Risk Management.
PROFESSIONAL COURSES, AFFILIATIONS, INTERESTS
Betsy is actively involved with the Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce, Lauren’s Hope Foundation and the Simpsonville First Baptist Church. She moved to the Greenville area in 2004. Betsy is originally from Savannah, Georgia where she developed her passion for sailing, scuba diving and various other water sports. She also enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her husband, Greg, and their two children, Baylor and Brock. |
